Hotkeys Reference
Official in-session hotkeys solve the majority of "I cannot see my game" reports. Memorize these two combinations before you invest hours into AFK loops.
Official Hotkeys
Use Shift+F12 first when the window is missing, then Shift+F11 if the interface is still oversized. Repeating the pair after GPU driver updates prevents recurring scale bugs on mixed 100%/150% monitors.
TBH: Task Bar Hero does not require a custom keybind suite for combat because fights are automated. Your "controls skill" is keeping the companion visible and responsive while other apps take focus.
Function keys can be intercepted by laptop Fn layers, OEM utilities, or some remote desktop tools. If nothing happens, click the TBH taskbar icon once to give the process focus, disable Fn-lock experiments, then retry the pair slowly rather than mashing keys.
| Hotkey | Effect | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| Shift + F11 | Reset display scale | UI too large/small after DPI changes |
| Shift + F12 | Reset window position | Window lost after monitor moves |
Recommended Recovery Workflow
Order matters. Position reset brings the window onto a visible monitor; scale reset then repairs DPI distortion. Doing scale first on an off-screen window can feel like "nothing worked" when the UI was simply elsewhere.
After recovery, glance at your farm stage. Some clients pause or lose Auto-retry state across crashes and forced focus changes. A visible window with a wiped loop is still wasted AFK time.
- 1
Confirm the process is running
Check the Steam library overlay or Task Manager for TBH.
- 2
Press Shift+F12
Recenters the window on the primary display in most setups.
- 3
Press Shift+F11
Resets scale if text and buttons remain clipped.
- 4
Re-enable Auto-retry
Open settings if farming stopped after the display reset.
- 5
Validate clicks
Open Formation or Cube once to confirm hitboxes match what you see.

When to Use Hotkeys Proactively
Undocking a laptop, connecting an ultrawide, enabling HDR, or changing Windows scaling from 125% to 150% are all hotkey moments. Do not wait until you notice missing loot; recenter after the display topology changes.
GPU driver installers and some overlay updates can resize or move companion windows. Treat driver day like patch day: launch TBH, run Shift+F12 then Shift+F11, confirm Auto-retry, then walk away.
Remote work setups with docking stations often remount monitors in a new order. Windows may keep TBH coordinates on "Display 3" that no longer exists. Hotkeys are faster and safer than hunting for config files.

Common Myths
Reinstalling rarely fixes a missing window; hotkeys do. Similarly, buying DLC will not restore a lost UI - Formation and DLC claims are separate from display state. If hotkeys fail after a major Windows update, collect a short screen recording before opening a support ticket so the team can see whether the window is off-screen or truly crashed.
Verifying integrity of game files is a reasonable second step after a bad patch, not a first response to undocking. Config corruption is less common than "window is on the powered-off monitor."
There is no secret combat hotkey meta that replaces Auto-retry and Formation. Players asking for DPS keybinds usually need stage selection and gear help, not more bindings.
