Window & Display Fixes

These are usually layout problems, not save corruption. Treat them with hotkeys and display settings first. Keep your formation farming on a stage that clears while you debug so you do not lose AFK time.

Mixed-DPI is the hardest case: a 100% office monitor beside a 150% laptop panel can leave TBH readable on one screen and unusable on another. If click targets feel offset, assume scale drift before assuming a combat bug.

Sleep and hibernate amplify the issue. Windows may re-enumerate displays in a new order, leaving yesterday's coordinates pointing at a ghost monitor. That looks identical to a crash until you press Shift+F12.

• Window stuck on a powered-off monitor.
• Clicks register in the wrong place after scaling changes.
• Taskbar icon present but preview thumbnail is blank or off-canvas.

Work top to bottom. Most players stop after hotkeys succeed. Only continue into DPI and overlay steps when the window is visible but still wrong to click.

When rearranging displays, identify which monitor Windows calls primary. TBH recovery often prefers recentering toward that display. If your ultrawide is primary but you work on a vertical side screen, expect to recenter after every dock event.

Windows per-monitor DPI awareness is better than it used to be, but small companion apps still get odd intermediate sizes. If text is huge and buttons clip, Shift+F11 is the intended fix - not editing compatibility flags on the exe as a first move.

Changing scaling while TBH is open is a common self-own. Close or recenter after any 125/150/200 change. HDR toggles and "night light" tools are less dangerous, but GPU color overlays sometimes ship with capture hooks that disturb focus.

For brand-new multi-monitor setups, launch TBH once with only the primary display enabled, confirm a clean window, then reconnect the rest. That baseline makes later hotkey recovery more predictable.

When undocking a laptop, recenter TBH before sleep. After Windows feature updates, expect to re-run the hotkey pair once. Do not rely on remembering pixel coordinates - the official reset is faster and safer than editing config files.

If you stream or capture the taskbar strip, keep capture software in borderless modes that do not force exclusive fullscreen on the same display TBH uses.

Create a personal rule: no overnight AFK until you have seen one successful clear with the current monitor layout. That single observation catches dead-monitor placements before eight hours of wasted uptime.

If hotkeys, display rearrange, overlay disable, and Steam restart all fail, verify game files and update the GPU driver cleanly. Capture whether Task Manager shows CPU activity for TBH - a frozen process is different from an off-screen window.

Include your monitor count, scaling percentages, dock/undock pattern, and a short video in support reports to Discord or help@tesse.co.kr. That context reproduces layout bugs faster than "game won't open."

Avoid random .ini edits from old forum posts. Unofficial position hacks go stale across patches and can make official resets harder to evaluate.
