Rune Tree: Core Progression Engine
The Rune Tree unlocks party size, automation, inventory, and offline rewards — not just stats.
How to Access the Rune Tree
Reach level 3 on your first hero, then open the Runes icon at the bottom of the Hero menu. Spend gold to unlock nodes permanently.
Recommended Unlock Priority
Do not max scattered +1% stat nodes while your third hero slot is still locked.

| 2 | Far North automation | Auto-open chests; smoother AFK loops |
| 3 | Gold / EXP nodes | Funds further runes and Cube upgrades |
| 4 | Inventory expansion | Less downtime managing loot |
| 5 | Offline rewards | Supplement when Steam is closed — not a replacement for AFK |
| 6 | Rune of Awakening (skill slot) | Strong after 3-hero setup; huge for Priest |
Far North Region
The Far North branch controls automation quality. Auto-open chest must be unlocked here — it is not enabled by default.
- Pair auto-open with Auto-retry for uninterrupted farming.
- Chest drops are a major progression source; automation runes pay off quickly.
Funding Runes with Cube Alchemy
Alchemy converts unwanted items to gold. Early progression should funnel duplicates into runes, not synthesis.
